Christmas Stickers for Kids, Cards and Gift Wrapping: Inexpensive Festive Fun
Christmas Stickers for Kids, Cards and Gift Wrapping: Inexpensive Festive Fun
Christmas does not always need another expensive gift, another big decoration or another complicated craft project.
Sometimes a simple pack of Christmas stickers is enough to add a bit of festive fun.
They can be used for handmade cards, gift wrapping, school projects, party bags, stocking fillers, scrapbooking, children’s craft activities and small Christmas decorations. They are also a handy way to keep children busy for a while without spending a fortune.
That is one of the reasons I started stocking a large range of Christmas stickers. They are small, affordable, easy to use and surprisingly useful when Christmas comes around.
Why Christmas Stickers Are So Handy
Christmas stickers are one of those small craft supplies that can be used in lots of different ways.
They can make plain wrapping paper look more festive, add a quick detail to a handmade card, brighten up a gift tag or turn a simple envelope into something more personal.
They are also useful for children’s crafts because they do not need much setup. There is no cutting, no glue, no mess and no complicated instructions.
For children, that is part of the fun. They can peel, stick, arrange, decorate and make something feel Christmassy in a few minutes.
For adults, they are useful because they are quick, inexpensive and easy to keep in a drawer until needed.
Christmas Stickers for Kids
Christmas stickers can make great little stocking fillers or small treats for children.
They are not expensive, they do not take up much space, and they give children something they can actually use rather than just another throwaway novelty item.
They can be used for:
● Decorating cards
● Making Christmas pictures
● Adding to school projects
● Decorating envelopes
● Creating gift tags
● Filling quiet time during the holidays
● Adding to party bags
● Simple rainy-day craft activities
They are especially handy if you want a low-cost festive activity that does not involve paint, glitter everywhere or half the kitchen table disappearing under craft supplies.
Christmas Stickers for Gift Wrapping
Stickers are also very useful for gift wrapping.
A plain gift bag, kraft paper parcel, envelope or gift tag can be made much more festive with a Christmas sticker or two.
They work well with ribbon and bows too. A sticker can add a playful detail, while ribbon or a ready-made bow gives the gift a more finished look.
If you are wrapping several small gifts, stickers are a quick way to make each one feel a little different without buying lots of extra decorations.
You may also find my post on buying satin ribbon bows in Ireland useful if you want a quick way to finish gifts neatly without tying bows yourself.
Christmas Stickers for Card Making
Christmas stickers are also a simple option for card making.
Not everyone wants to make complicated handmade cards from scratch. Sometimes you just want to add a festive design to blank card, coloured card, tags or envelopes.
3D Christmas stickers can make a card feel more finished because they add shape and texture. Flat stickers are useful when you want something simpler, especially for envelopes, school projects or cards that need to fit easily into the post.
They are also useful for children who want to make cards for grandparents, teachers, friends or family members.
The finished card does not need to be perfect. That is often the charm of it.
3D Christmas Stickers
Many of the Christmas stickers I stock are 3D stickers, which means they have a raised look rather than being completely flat.
These can work well on cards, gift bags, tags, boxes and craft projects because they stand out more than a standard flat sticker.
They are useful when you want the sticker to become part of the decoration rather than just a small background detail.
Flat Christmas Stickers
Flat Christmas stickers are useful when you want something simpler.
They are a good option for envelopes, notebooks, school crafts, paper projects, gift tags and anything that needs to stay fairly flat.
They can also be easier for younger children to use because they are usually lighter and less bulky than 3D stickers.
A Small Craft Supply That Rarely Goes to Waste
One of the nice things about Christmas stickers is that they are easy to store and easy to use later.
If you do not use the whole pack this year, the remaining stickers can usually be kept for next Christmas.
They do not take up much room, and they are the kind of thing that often comes in handy when you suddenly need to wrap one more gift, make one more card or keep a child entertained for a little while.
For the price, they can be surprisingly useful.

A Note About This Post
This post was originally published on my Woodcraft website on 20th January 2023.
I later moved it here to David Condon Finds so that my main woodcraft site could stay more focused on woodturning, handmade pieces, tools and tuition.
It fits better here as part of my growing craft supplies section.
