Lego Star Wars Helmets Review – The 7 I Own and Which Ones Are Worth Buying
I’ll be honest, when Lego first launched the Star Wars helmet series, I wasn’t completely sold. They looked fantastic, but the price tag made me hesitate. That changed a few years back when I decided my wall space needed filling, so I picked up three at once in August. My plan was simple: save them for Christmas Day, put on a good movie, and build them on a low table in front of me.
Once I’d assembled and displayed those first three, I was hooked. Since then, I’ve been slowly adding more to my collection. The best part? When someone walks into the room and sees them, they recognise the characters instantly and I can’t help but notice a little pang of envy every time.
I should probably admit that my collection plans are growing… fast.
The seven helmets on my shelf aren’t the end of it, I’ve got a few more on my wishlist, including the AT-AT Driver Helmet and the Princess Leia Bounty Hunter Helmet. I’m also eyeing up the Mandalorian Helmet, and if I can track one down at a decent price, the Dark Trooper Helmet might have to join the lineup too. All in good time.....

Popularity
LEGO has steadily released more helmets over time, starting with sets like the TIE Fighter Pilot (which I missed and am desperate to get my hands on, at a good price though), Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, then moving on to Darth Vader, Mandalorian, Luke Skywalker (Red Five), Captain Rex, Clone Commander Cody, and more.
I had to do a bit of checking up on those but LEGO continuing with a range means they are worth it. I have seven in my collection and have my eye on the new AT-AT Driver for my next display piece.
What Makes Lego Star Wars Helmets Special?
They are unique display pieces so if you'd prefer a playset, I suggest going for one of those instead. If you are a collector like me, they are a fantastic addition leaving guests to your home in no doubt about your excellent taste.
If you are not a serious collector and don't want to go for the big UCS models, then the odd helmet character may suit you. Darth Vader is an instant classic, the Stormtrooper or Scout Trooper are also great and make great mini displays.

Unique display models vs. playsets.

Nice tie-in to fans who don’t want big UCS sets but still want something iconic.

Round-Up
More Helmets I Picked Up Recently
I have a confession to make, every Christmas I line up one or two LEGO kits to unwind over the break. This year I added two more helmets to the shelf. They may not be available on Amazon but you can always pick up some cool accessories.
AT-AT Driver Helmet (75429)
The clean white Imperial design from The Empire Strikes Back, complete with striking black detailing.

Princess Leia (Boushh) Helmet (75351)
A brilliant Return of the Jedi tribute with earthy tones, sleek shapes, and that unmistakable bounty-hunter silhouette.
Conclusion
My plan is ultimately to keep collecting these helmets until I have the whole series. I really want the Tie Fighter Helmet but it's either very expensive or knock off bricks from China. There's no way I will pay €300 to someone who is trying to profit off a retired product. Yes, I admire them for their business acumen but the LEGO builder in me despises them for it.
